Need Information or Have Gardening Questions? The Bexar County Master Gardener Homeowners Hotline offers answers and advice from a certified Master Gardener! There is no charge for the service; we’re staffed by knowledgeable, trained volunteers and supported by the Texas AgriLife Extension.

Community Partners


Texas A&M AgriLife Extension

Working hand-in-hand with its Texas A&M System partners, the state legislature, and the communities it serves, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service serves Texans through community-based education. As part of the education services, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension oversees the Master Gardener program. Bexar County Master Gardeners works closely with the local Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office.

San Antonio Water System (SAWS)

SAWS is a public utility owned by the City of San Antonio.  San Antonio has been recognized nationally for its novel conservation efforts and proactive water management planning:  San Antonio is water’s most resourceful city in the U.S.   Gardens and lawns need water, and SAWS partners with the Bexar County Master Gardeners to provide water conservation educational programs and resources at events, Neighborhood Landscape Fairs and HOA meetings.

Texas Master Gardener Association

The Texas Master Gardener Program is a volunteer development program offered by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service designed to increase the availability of horticultural information and improve the quality of life through horticultural projects.
