Join ethnobotanist Benito Trevino for an informative discussion about the many uses of the native plants, with a special focus on how the plants were used by the indigenous peoples and our ancestors.

Benito Trevino is the owner of Rancho Lomitas Native Plant Nursery, which is located outside of Rio Grande City.  He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in botany more years ago than he cares to remember.  Since starting his nursery, Benito has grown over 800,000 native plants which have been used for native landscapes and restoration projects throughout the state.
